Ally, a defender, has been a stalwart in the first team this season and was one of only two players to not miss a game. Ally also played football regularly for Staffin in the last few seasons. He is following in the footsteps of his father, Donnie “Digg”, who also played for Skye and was a part of the 1990 Camananchd Cup Final victory.

The Ladies Player of The Year was another performer with Staffin roots. Teenager Caitlin MacLean, whose mother Maureen is from the district, won the honour. The women’s team, which was only formed three years ago, also had a succesful season and reached the Valerie Fraser Camanachd Cup Final. Caitlin was a standout for the team and was called up to represent her country to play Ireland in October.
