EYE-CATCHING photographs of Staffin crofing scenes are being sought in an island-wide competition.
Amateur photographers are urged to enter the Skye Agricultural Photo Competition 2015. It could be a picture of cattle eating their silage in a hailstorm, sheep scrabbling up a ledge or a summer image of shearing or the potatoes being planted.
The winner will see their photo featured on the cover of the official programme for the Skye Agricultural Show in August.
The catalogue is printed by Strathprint. The topic is ‘Crofting & Farming Life in Skye’. The winner will be the photos that receive the most ‘likes’ on the show’s Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/pages/Skye-Agricultural-Society/114392338649465
There are only two weeks until the competition closes on February 6 so get posting!
The photos submitted must be high resolutions, a minimum of 300 dpi at A5 for the catalogue, or in terms of file size at least 1-megabyte
All images should be JPEGS.
