UPDATES on Staffin Community Trust’s main projects will be provided next week. SCT’s 2015 Annual General Meeting will be held on Tuesday night in Staffin. The AGM will include the information on the latest progress on SCT’s work and an overview of the last 12 months.
These include the Staffin Slipway, the affordable housing campaign, the Staffin Crofters’ Memorial, the Storr, the proposed extension to the ecomuseum Ceumannan http://staffin-trust.co.uk/skyes-eco-museum-ceumannan-ii-2 and the outdoor Gaelic in the Environment course hosted by SCT. The annual report on SCT accounts will also be provided. There will also be opportunity for new directors to join the SCT board and for any local residents interested to become SCT members. That does not involve a requirement to attend monthly SCT meetings – although they are open to all – but membership means individuals are supportive of SCT’s projects and efforts on behalf of the Staffin community. The AGM takes place in Staffin Hall on Tuesday May 26 and starts at 7.30pm. Everybody is welcome.
