MONDAYS are set to get a lot more brighter as talented Highland dancers from Trotternish and the rest of Skye stage a series of summer ceilidhs.
Dannsairean An Eilein Sgitheanaich (DAES) is a group based in Skye under the tutelage of Karen Campbell from Kilmaluag.
Karen has more than 70 dancers from all over the island in her group which competes at events all over Scotland.
Locals and visitors will get several opportunities to see the DAES girls for themselves for the next few Monday nights in Portree, the island’s capital. The group is performing at shows which include Gaelic singing, in Tigh na Sgire, a venue which is only a five-minute walk from Somerled Square, on July 11, 18, and 25 – and on August 1 and 8.
