Exciting new 2018 Staffin Gym timetable will counter New Year blues!

AFTER the turkey, pigs in blankets, brussel sprouts and liquid refreshments are consumed over the festive period, you can look forward to a revamped timetable of classes in the Staffin Gym.

The post-Christmas and New Year lull can be swatted away by the gym’s offerings in January which include boxing skills, ABs workouts and a new class called 10/10/10.

All classes are open to men and women and youngsters over the age of 12 are also warmly welcomed. Music is played and there is always an inviting atmosphere. Anybody interested not need not be concerned at never having gone to a gym before, and can go at their own pace, there is no pressure and having fun is just as important! Visitors to Staffin are also welcome.

Gym instructor Sam Crowe gives the lowdown on each of the classes: “Tuesday night is our Party Night with CLUB HIIT, which is a 30-minute class combining the experience of a night out with high Intensity interval training! It’s a great workout and a lot of fun (£3.50 per class).

“We also have a new look 30-minute ABS class aimed at strengthening abs to support body posture and to provide toning to the stomach. 10/10/10 is a 45 min class working on specific body areas, legs/arms and abs for 10 mins each, hence the name (on-going £3.50 a class or £1.50 if tagging this onto the class before).

“Our BOXING SKILLS class with Paul is proving popular. Get fit, so get boxing. Paul will take you through a class of boxing techniques, which will give you a full body workout. £3 a class.”

CLUB HITT: exercise and music at Staffin Gym.

For a six-week block deal starting on Saturday, January 6 2018, it is only £55 (excluding boxing), or £20 for six weeks.

The gym, which is located in the Staffiin Community Hall, is a great asset for the area since it was opened two years ago. For more details call Sam Crowe on 07766 081 258 or e-mail skyecrowes@gmail.com
